Geita Rundt 2024 – 90th anniversary
This year we are celebrating Oslo Rowing Club’s 90th anniversary! The regatta is open to beginners, experienced exercisers and racers.
Due to strong winds, the race is postponed to Thursday 20th June.
When: NEW DATE -> Thursday 20th June at 17.30
Organizer: Oslo Roklubb (ORK)
Participation fee: NOK 50 per person payable at the start.
The event
Join Geita Rundt 2024, a 9.7 km long touring regatta organized by Oslo Roklubb, with start in front of Maxbo Vækerø and finish at the clubhouse. We hand out start numbers at the start in front of Maxbo at 17.45.
Start time
Thursday 6th June at 18.00 in the boat in front of Maxbo.
Starting procedure: Rowers row in place and put the oars in the water. The start signal is a white flag and a long sound signal.

- 3⁄4-ers,
- trimmer,
- Coastal 1x,
- Coastal 2x,
- Coastal 4x+
Timing and prizes will be awarded in all classes.
Tour description
The race starts by rounding the northern tip of Killingen, before heading out into the Lysakerfjord towards Geita at Snarøya, and back the same way to Bestumkilen. Remember your life jacket and bucket!
Important: Pay attention to the reef at Rolfstangen.

Socializing
After the race, there will be a social gathering and prize-giving ceremony at Oslo Roklubb, where coffee, cakes, mineral water and sausages will also be sold.
